Who is Gary?
Gary Winferry has spent 40+ years in the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Augusta, first as a basketball coach, then as a site director, then as Director of Operations, and finally as Facilities and Fleet Manager. His legacy is one of unwavering service and immeasurable impacts, with tens of thousands of children in the Augusta area and beyond who have benefited directly and indirectly from his generosity, his indomitable work ethic, and his heart for service.
In honor of this incredible legacy of selfless service, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Augusta announced on July 17th, 2025, that we would be rebranding our Monthly Giving Club as a way to say thank you, as there is no one we can think of who better represents dedication in giving! Please help us celebrate Gary's legacy by modeling his faithfulness to the mission. Making an ongoing monthly donation is not only the best way to say thank you for 40 years of dedicated community service, but also the best way to ensure that kids in the Augusta area and beyond always have what Gary worked so hard to give them: a shot at their own Great Future.
