To ensure the long term sustainability of our mission, Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Augusta has established a permanent endowment fund with lead gifts from our Board of Directors and other generous supporters. Gifts to this endowment fund are permanent financial resources which are invested prudently with a portion of the earnings being made available annually to support the organization’s annual operating budget.
We have a goal to raise $5,000,000 in 2023, to be paid all at once or in 3-5 year installments, depending on the amount of the gift.
We need the community to step up and help us meet the needs of thousands of kids each year who do not have the support and guidance they need at home. The benefits of giving to our endowment now or through an estate are numerous and include significant tax benefits as well as the satisfaction of knowing that your gift will support the life-changing programs Boys & Girls Clubs offer in perpetuity. As such, we can discuss options with you and/or your financial advisor regarding a charitable gift to Boys & Girls Clubs.

On March 30, 2023, Dr. Condoleezza Rice, 66th United States Secretary of State, joined Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Augusta for a private reception & dinner to speak about the indispensable role Boys & Girls Clubs play in the community and the importance of the endowment fund to ensure longterm sustainability of the vital programs Boys & Girls Clubs provide to youth in and around Augusta.
Expounding on why the work of Boys & Girls Clubs merits community support, Dr. Rice championed the idea that the American Dream should be within reach of every American child, regardless of their zip code.
Dr. Rice serves as the Vice Chair of the Board of Governors for Boys & Girls Clubs of America, and was the guest of honor at Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Augusta's first annual Great Futures Celebration in 2016. She most recently spoke at the soft opening of the HUB for Community Innovation (Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Augusta’s new Headquarters location) in April of 2022.
